The 3 F's of Parkour

Many people, including myself, are unfamiliar with the three F's of parkour.


That is why I decided to create my own version of it.


Actually, these are traits that are useful to have when doing parkour or in almost every situation.

Fundamentals

The first thing you should learn is the fundamentals, especially if you are just starting out.


Conditioning exercises may be a good starting point to prevent injuries, followed by learning how to sprint properly, performing basic vaults, climbing walls, etc.


When you become used to it, you may progress to more complex techniques, but in the Survival Fitness Plan, we only cover the most essential parts of parkour.

Fitness

Fitness is essential in parkour because it allows you to do longer runs and routines.


It is not the same as in martial arts, where being fit has a massive impact during a fight.


Parkour will keep you fit regardless of what you do unless you only practice static movements.

Flow

I want to call the final one the flow.


There is something that you know and feel, just like when you train self-defense or rock climbing where you are focused on what you are doing.


You always want to keep things flowing, even if it's spontaneous because stopping usually leads to mistakes and injuries

Conclusion

The three f's of parkour, which are fundamentals, fitness, and flow, are not simply random subjects to discuss; they are essential ideas that everyone should be aware of.


And they are not just applicable to parkour. They can be applied to many other situations including all the Survival Fitness Plan activities.
