Start Small

Starting small is the first step to overcoming your fear of parkour.


When you're just starting out, don't stress yourself out by attempting advanced techniques.


If you want to achieve a personal goal, such as jumping a large gap, start by training on the ground first until you are sure you can make the distance comfortably. And then once you can, you can try it from higher.

Progress Slowly

Starting small allows you to progress slowly and see results over time while keeping safe.


It also refers to getting your basic parkour skills at a good level before trying intermediate or advanced ones.


Getting good at something takes time, so be patient with the process and with yourself.

Train Safe

The last and arguably the most important step is to train in a safe manner.


Don't push yourself beyond your limits, and condition your body to avoid injuries through things such as strength and flexibility training.


For beginners, equipment such as crash mats can be used to ensure safety and protection while training.
